Gary Roper
Chairman
Gary has had extensive administrative experience in both government and commerce, principally in the areas of tenement management and co-ordination of exploration staff and programs. He was a founding Director of AuDAX and was Managing Director from 1987 to 2007.
Wolfgang Zimmer
Managing Director
Wolfgang has 28 years experience in the Oil & Gas Industry. He received his Ph.D from the University of Vienna in Geology and Petrology. His career began with Mobil Oil in Vienna where he worked for 11 years primarily in Europe and the USA in oil and gas exploration and production. In 1991 he joined OMV, the Austrian Oil Company, and fulfilled a variety of senior management roles for the next 15 years. He established OMV’s Exploration and Production business in Australia and New Zealand and was its Managing Director for 5 years. He also has significant experience in North Africa having been the director of OMV’s onshore and offshore production operations in Tunisia. Most recently he was the CEO of Grove Energy, a Canadian and UK listed oil and gas explorer which he successfully merged with another exploration company in 2007.
Paul Fink
Technical Director
Paul received an engineering degree from the Mining University of Leoben, Austria. He has 18 years of diversified oil and gas exploration and producing experience in both technical and managerial positions. Paul’s experience at OMV included exploration and producing assignments in Austria, Libya, United Kingdom, Bulgaria, Australia and Pakistan where he was the Exploration and Reservoir Manager. In 2005 Paul formed a petroleum consulting business and has worked for various companies in Romania, Poland, Kazakhstan and India. In India, as Vice President (Exploration) for Focus Energy Limited, Paul headed a highly successful exploration campaign that included the evaluation, negotiation, and acquisition of petroleum licenses and resulted in the drilling of two significant discoveries.
Peter Ironside
Company Secretary
Peter has been the company secretary since March 1995 and is a chartered accountant and business consultant with over twenty years experience in the exploration and mining industry, and is a director and/or company secretary of several ASX listed companies. Peter provides commercial and financial advice to the Board, together with support in the areas of administration, corporate initiatives and capital raisings.
George Brugeyroux
Senior Geological Advisor
George has 30+ years of diversified domestic US and international geosciences/engineering experience in oil and gas exploration, exploitation and production. His numerous and varied assignments at Mobil Oil Corporation (Canada Northwest Territories-MacKenzie Delta exploration, onshore and offshore Gulf Coast, California, onshore Italy, Austria, offshore Nigeria and Angola) have developed a broad range of managerial, technical, economic and people skills. Since the Exxon-Mobil merger he has worked as a consultant on various projects in both the US and Europe. Special interests include exploration prospect evaluation, detailed reservoir and production analysis to optimize field development and ultimate recovery.
Susanne Brugeyroux
Vienna Office Manager
Susi has 30 years experience in the secretarial field mainly with geoscience companies. She was employed with RAG (a Mobil/Shell affiliate) from 1978 until 1993 working as the personal assistant to the General Manger. Susi moved to the United States (Dallas) in 1993 and worked for Mobil Oil Corporation for 5 years providing support to the procurement and drilling department. She joined AuDAX Resources European arm at it’s inception and is currently the Vienna office manager and PA to the AuDAX Managing Director.
Chris Cubitt
Principal Geologist
Chris has 10 years experience in the upstream oil and gas industry. Until recently he was the lead reservoir geologist at Woodside responsible for ‘rock-based’ geological interpretations of Woodside’s exploration and development assets in Australia and Libya. Before this role he worked as a regional geologist developing basin wide play analysis and statistics for bid round evaluation and portfolio management. Prior to Woodside, Chris worked as an exploration and development geologist, petrophysicist and well site geologist for Santos in the Australian Cooper Basin. He also has experience in the ‘hard rock’ Australian sector having worked for Great Central Mines as a diamond exploration geologist and as an underground development geologist with Mt Isa Mines. In 2000 Chris completed a Ph.D on reservoir quality prediction in the glacial sequences of the Cooper Basin and has published widely on this topic. His expertise in reservoir quality is well respected and he recently co-chaired the reservoir quality session at the 2006 AAPG held in Perth, Australia.
Wendy Donegan
Perth Office Manager
Wendy has been at AuDAX Resources Ltd since April 1996. She manages the administrative operations of the Perth office, provides support to board members and staff and deals with shareholder queries.
Christian Kaufmann
Vienna Office IT Specialist
Christian has over 15 years experience in the IT business. He received a Masters in Information, Communication Systems and Services from the University of Applied Sciences Technikum-Wien and a Masters in Information Management from the Technical University Vienna. He started in the IT department of Gerot Pharmaceuticals. Later he worked for the Interunfall Versicherung, an Austrian insurance company; then was the CIO of Public Webwatch, a media research company and the head of IT Business Support for VCP Puls IT Consulting & Solutions.
Sharon Tiainen
Senior Geoscientist
Sharon has twelve years experience in the upstream oil and gas industry. Through her employment with Nido Petroleum, ARC Energy, Santos and Mobil she has been involved with oil and gas exploration and development projects in the Philippines, United Kingdom and Australia. One of her particular interests is the identification of by-passed pay, including conventional and tight by-passed oil and gas pay and the application of appropriate technology to realise the value of these resources. Sharon is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the Petroleum Exploration Society of Australia (PESA). Sharon received her B.Sc from the University of Adelaide in 1993 and her Honours degree from the National Centre for Petroleum Geology and Geophysics in 1994. In addition she has recently completed units in reservoir engineering and drilling engineering whilst studying oil and gas engineering part time at the University of Western Australia.
